If you work in research and academia, you will usually have to give a lot of talks and presentations, e.g. at seminars, to apply for a stipend or grant, or to present your ideas and results at conferences and meetings. This talk will cover how to effectively reach your audience, how to structure your presentation, how to create useful slides and how to visualize your data. During the talk, we will discuss good and bad examples as well as the most common mistakes and how they can be avoided.
