Día de los Muertos

06.11.2018

On November 2, our international students celebrated national Mexican holiday.

Día de los Muertos  (or The Day of the Dead in English) is a Mexican holiday in which families remember and honor their deceased loved ones.

Frightening? No! It is a lot of fun and very colorful! All guests in teams answered the questions, asked by La Calavera Catrina – symbol of this fest, sang national Latin songs, danced as Columbians, painted terrible masks on the faces, played Memories game with skulls and got sweets for well-done tasks.

Every member of the team, who got sweets most of all, received a small present from the Office of International Affairs. The guests who had the best costumes also got the presents.
