KNRTU-KAI Cooperate With University Of Piura

The signed memorandum of cooperation is one of the important steps to expand external ties between KAI and Latin America.

KNRTU-KAI and University of Piura (UDEP, Peru), agreed on a memorandum of Understanding, which provides the extension of cooperation in students and academic exchange, science, teaching, etc.

In particular, according to the memorandum, universities agreed to enter a cooperative relationship for the general purpose of promoting staff and student exchange,  research, teaching and other collaborative activities for the mutual benefit of both parties.

The document was signed by Vice-Rector for Development Tatyana Stanko (KNRTU-KAI), and UDEP rector Dr. Antonio Abruña.

University of Piura, located in the same city in the north of Peru, was founded in 1969 and will celebrate its 50th anniversary in April of this year. With campuses in Piura and in the capital of Peru, Lima, the university has a total of six faculties, 14 academic programs, and a higher technical school. About 7,500 students study there. The university is among the ten best universities in the country.

Peru is one of the largest countries in South America the fourth largest on the continent in terms of population (about 32 million inhabitants). In the past decade, the country's economy has been one of the fastest growing in Latin America.
