The director of GRIAT Alsu Gilmetdinova represents KNRTU-KAI on the educational tour for representatives from Russia.

«Higher education and research work in Germany»  is an educational tour for representatives from Russia, which takes place these days in Germany. The German Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Goethe Institute outlined an extensive program for the participants: Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, Bonn, Mulheim an der Ruhr are scheduled to visit from 21 to 25 of May.

On Monday, May 20, an excursion to the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering ((Fraunhofer-Institut für Arbeitswirtschaft und Organisation IAO) in Stuttgart  where the visual engineering laboratory was presented. The next visit was to Baden-Württemberg International. Guests were told about the activities of the organization, and then representatives of Russian universities presented their educational institutions. Director of the German-Russian Institute of Advanced Technologies (GRIAT) Alsu Gilmetdinova told about the unique German-Russian project on the basis of KNRTU-KAI, and invited participants to visit Kazan and the university. “There is interest in developing cooperation with Russia, opening new programs in GRIAT, sending German students for internships, summer courses and academic mobility to Russia,” she said.

The topic of major research and international cooperation was mentioned during a visit to the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology on 21 May. Also, participants will visit  Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences specializing in technology and economics.

A visit to  Bonn is also scheduled during the week. Meetings will be held with the heads of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the German Research Society (DFG), the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. During the conversation with a representative of the Council of Rectors of the University (HRK), the system of higher education in Germany and international cooperation with Russian universities will be discussed. Tour participants will also visit the Center for Innovation and Technology (Zentrum für Innovation und Technik), the Ruhr West Institute (Hochschule Ruhr West) in the city of Mülheim an der Ruhr.
