KAI Student Won the Gold at the Eurasian Championship WorldSkills

Mr. Shamil Valiullin, a master’s program student of KNRTU-KAI, represented the Russian team in the “Electronics” competency

The Eurasian Championship of Professional Skills as part of the X National Championship “Young Professionals” WorldSkills Russia was held from September 9th to 12th in Saransk. The championship itself brought together participants from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and China.

The championship took place in 2 phases – in-person and remote. Mr. Shamil Valiullin, a student of the Institute of Radio Electronics, Photonics and Digital Technologies, who studies under master’s degree program in the field of “Radio Engineering” at KNRTU-KAI, finished first in both events.

Mr. Shamil Valiullin has been participating and hitting the podium in WorldSkills Russia since 2015. Moreover, from February 2021 to August 2022, he was actively involved in the development of the CubeSat – KAI-1 Satellite, which was subsequently launched into orbit in August 2022 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

The student's academic adviser is Dr. Igor Vasiliev, Associate Professor of the Department of Electronic and Quantum Transmission Facilities.
