The university plans to present a number of innovations and hold negotiations with the manufacturers.

MAKS (Russian: МАКС) is an international airshow held at Zhukovsky International Airport, the home of the Gromov Flight Research Institute in Zhukovsky, 40 km (25 mi) southeast of Moscow, Russia. The first show, Mosaeroshow-92, was held in 1992. Since 1993, the airshow was renamed as MAKS and is held biennially on odd years. The main objective of MAKS is to demonstrate achievements of Russian high tech and receptiveness of the domestic Russian market to joint projects with foreign partners.

Kazan National Research Technical University (KNRTU-KAI) will demonstrate new developments and will hold a series of business meetings with partners on the application of composite materials and laser technologies, Vice-rector, Research and development activities, Prof. Sergey Mikhailov told "Tatar-Inform" news agency on Tuesday, July 18.

University’s exhibition booth is dedicated to innovations in the field of composites and lasers. University delegation members will also meet Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI) staff to discuss further cooperation, Vice-Rector said.

Among the university’s exhibits – developments in space industry, made jointly with Information Satellite Systems Reshetnev JSC as well as developments in the field of composite materials in partnership with the "ORPE "Technologiya" OJSC. Nowadays KNRTU-KAI developed composites are already used in the production of the Kazan Ansat helicopter.

The second priority is laser technology, as well as developments in the field of aeroacoustics and aerodynamics. The projects are already ready for use in production.

"There are already arrangements for a meeting with the engine builders in the discussion about the application of laser technologies in propulsion structures creation. Then there will be work with TsAGI and several meetings related to joint development in the field of aeroacoustics and aerodynamics of aircraft structures, because the university has a good experience in the field of aeroacoustics", - Prof. Mikhailov said.

The International Aviation and Space Salon (MAKS) will be held from July 18 to 23 at the Ramenskoye airfield, Zhukovsky. During the exhibition, the latest developments of Russian manufacturers in the aerospace industry will be presented, as well as a large-scale air show will be held.
