The annual scientific forum "Gas Discharge Plasma and Nanostructure Synthesis" has attracted about three hundred participants
On November 25, 2025, the VI International Conference "Gas-Discharge Plasma and Nanostructure Synthesis" has opened at KNRTU-KAI. The three-day scientific forum has drawn 270 specialists, who present more than 130 reports, 40 universities from 20 cities. Among the participants of the conference are MIPT, MAI, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, E. K. Zavoysky Kazan Institute of Physics and Technology, Kazan Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, L. D. Institute of Theoretical Physics, Landau of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Ufa University of Science and Technology, Institute of Radiophysics and Physical Electronics of the Omsk Scientific Center SB RAS, Omsk State University, Department of Physical and Technological Research named after K. A. Valiev, Kurchatov Institute Research Center, K(P)FU, Kazan National Research Technological University, etc. The conference is also held in an online format.
Prof. Boris Timerkaev, Corresponding Member of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, Professor of the Department of General Physics at KNRTU-KAI, has addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech. He has noted that over the past five years, the conference has taken its rightful place among scientific forums devoted to gas discharge physics, nanostructures, and nanotechnology. The name of the conference is no coincidence: plasma has been, in fact, the key tool used to synthesize the first nanomaterials, thereby ushering in the era of nanotechnology. The conference will discuss both the physics of gas discharge and the problems of nanostructure synthesis and their applications.
