The center of machine-tool construction was jointly opened by the rector of KNRTU-KAI Prof. Albert Gilmutdinov, Director General of FANUC Russia LLC Mr. Marco Delaini and FANUC Russia LLC Commercial Director Mr. Alexander Yashkin.
"Today we are opening the center together with the world-famous brand, FANUC," Prof. Gilmutdinov said. "Here in KAI we are reviving the work on the robotics."
"The work began a year ago: our company really liked KNRTU-KAI,"Mr. Delaini noted. "We met with Albert Kharisovich and decided that we should work together. This center will be created to prepare students in all areas related to machine tools, production automation, digital economy. The center is the point of a meeting between new technologies and industrial needs."
The center will be divided into a training part and a practical class. Among the equipment provided is the FANUC robot on the pallet, the intelligent mini robot LRM200ID4S-30B-M-EDU4, the training rack with numerical program control FANUC DEMO TEST TACK and more.
FANUC’s first serial system of numerical control was launched in 1958. With its world-beating products like the ROBOCUT, ROBODRILL and ROBOSHOT hitting factory floors through the 70s and 80s, FANUC was able to provide optimised solutions for an increasingly wide range of industrial applications and customers. The story of FANUC Russia begins in 2003, when FANUC opened the first CNC systems sales and support office in Moscow.
