IELTS exam

23.01.2018

GRIAT students took their first official attempt to pass IELTS

The International English Language Testing System, or IELTS is an international standardized test of English language proficiency for non-native English language speakers. It is obligatory for GRIAT students to obtain the certificate of 6.0 in IELTS to be able to be officially enrolled in a German university

The proficiency level of 6.0 is a truly high level of knowledge of English language. This level basically means fluent speaking and understanding skills.

Although sometimes you might find the information that for a foreign student IELTS 5.5 is enough, this requirement doesn’t apply to GRIAT students.

IELTS 5.5 is a typical requirement for an exchange student. An exchange student can obtain a transcript of records, but not a full-scale master degree. Whereas having an IELTS certificate of 6.0 gives the students a right to be officially enrolled and get the German master degree
