This laboratory was established as part of a scientific research project supported with a monetary grant awarded by the Government of the Russian Federation under a grant competition designed to provide governmental support to scientific research projects implemented under the supervision of the world's leading scientists at Russian institutions of higher learning (Resolution of the RF Government No.220 of April 9, 2010).

Grant Agreement No.: 11.G34.31.0038

Fields of scientific research: Mechanics and control processes

Project goal:

To design new instruments required to model and analyze helicopter parameters and verify computer experiment data.

Key project objectives:

1. To create a laboratory complex specializing in physical and mathematical modeling of aerodynamic parameters of aircraft, especially those of helicopters.

2. To train helicopter-building engineers and develop partnerships and collaborations with helicopter industry enterprises.

Anticipated scientific outcomes:

1. The project will help improve the accuracy of computerized modeling of the aerodynamic parameters of aircraft;

2. The project will help install a helicopter stand in the wind tunnel of the Kazan State Technical University named after A. N. Tupolev.
