DAAD-Grants for GRIAT-Students
For the upcoming winter term 2022/23 the German Academic Exchange Service – DAAD will provide several grants to GRIAT-students to promote studying at the German GRIAT-partner universities, as well as to support students at GRIAT during their studies in Kazan.
There will be three different grants available:
1. Sur Place and Third Country Scholarships
These are 18 scholarships for the first and second semesters (in Kazan), starting this year on September 1st, 2022 until August 31st, 2023. The scholarship rate is 300 euros/month. The scholarship is for foreign students (third countries) and for Russian students. For six foreign students is also financed a subsidy for tuition fees in Kazan (850 euros/semester).
Required documents for application:
- Bachelor degree certificate (translated into English or German)
- Breakdown of academic achievements to date
- Motivation letter
- Curriculum vitae in tabular form including proof of social commitment (if present) and language skills

- Data protection declaration signed
The selection is based on merit criteria and is composed of grades achieved during the bachelor's degree program, motivation to study, and volunteer service.
