KAI developments at the congress on intelligent transport systems

Igor Anikin, the GRIAT program coordinator and Alisa Makhmutova, a GRIAT graduate, as part of a team from KAI and Republics of Tatarstan take part in the European Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems in the Netherlands.

Tatarstan participates in the 13th European Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems, which takes place from 3 to 6 June in Eindhoven (the Netherlands). The Republic is represented by employees of the Ministry of Transport and Road Management, the Ministry of Information and Communication, KNRTU-KAI, the company “ICL - System Technologies” and the state budgetary institution “Road Safety”. The delegation is headed by Rifkat Minnikhanov, director of the state budgetary institution “Road Safety”

KNRTU-KAI and GRIAT at this forum are represented by Igor Anikin, Head of the Department of Information Security Systems, and Alisa Makhmutova, a post-graduate student of the university, an employee of the ITS Center of the State Budgetary Institution “Road Safety”.

Igor Vyacheslavovich, in the scientific part of the event, presented a report on the development of a data mining module in emergency management systems. Alisa Makhmutova presented a project on video analytics - the detection of objects and the detection of anomalies of vehicle traffic on video images obtained from cameras installed on the streets of Kazan.

“Cooperation has been established between the State Budgetary Institution “Road Safety” and the Institute of Computer Technologies and Information Protection of the KNRTU-KAI, within which the basic department of Intelligent Transport Systems has been opened. We presented the experience of our cooperation in the implementation of the project for handling emergency data at a major international congress, ”said Igor Anikin.

The European Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems is the largest event, representing a platform for innovations and projects related to intellectual mobility, such as unmanned vehicles, weight control systems and logistics. This event annually brings together specialists, scientists, government representatives and private business from more than 40 countries of the world.

In 2020, Kazan will host the First Central-Eastern Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems. The agreement was signed by representatives of the Ertiko ITS Europe Association, the Ministry of Informatization and Communication of the Republic of Tatarstan and the State Budgetary Institution “Road Safety”.
